The inspiration for Glu, designed by Pellegrini+Mengato Design, came from the rotation of a satellite around a planet, a dynamic element in continuous movement, trying to escape from its orbit, but never breaking away from this this bond. The geometrical shape is defined not so much by the full part but by the central emptiness, created by the laser cut of the thin disk which gives Glu its particular shape and light effect, making it lightweight and balanced. The indirect light produced further emphasises the contrast between emptiness ad fullness and creates interesting light and shadow effects.
The collection is made up of one hanging lamp and one wall lamp, both for indoor use. The main structure is in matt white painted aluminium. The lamp runs on mains power and is suitable for use with LED bulbs.
